In loving memory of

Lagofa’atasi Malia Etevise Atonio

1937 - 2026
Lagofa’atasi Malia Etevise Atonio
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Malia Etevise Lagofa’atasi Atonio, who entered peacefully into eternal rest on 7 July 2026.
Mum was a faithful servant of God whose life was a testament to unwavering faith, love, humility, and service. She devoted her life to her family, her church, her devotion to early childhood teaching in the Samoan language, and her community, living her faith with grace and conviction.
While our hearts are heavy with grief, we give thanks for the blessing of her life and the legacy she leaves behind. We take comfort in knowing that she has gone home to the Lord whom she faithfully served throughout her life.
Malia is lying at the hall named in honour of her late husband, and catechist, Nikolao Atonio FK, Matahourua St, Cannons Creek, Porirua. Please feel free to pay your respects, share stories, share laughs, break bread and pray together.
