CALLAGHAN, HUGH JAMES: Passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, 13th June 2026 with close family present and to the tunes of Louis Armstrong in the background. He was 87. Beloved husband of Nola for 65 years and father to Mark, Warren, Michael and their partners. Grandfather to Will, Georgia, Alexandra, Frazer, Jack, Charlie and Harry. Also a loving uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many. A proud RSA Reservist, keen bowler, traveller, musician and artist, he will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village for their care and friendship over the last 18 months. A service will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner Knights Rd and Cornwall St, Lower Hutt on Friday 26 June 2026 at 2.00pm.
