Deacon, Michael Ernest
Passed away peacefully on 15 September 2025 at Te Omanga Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dearly loved and loyal husband of Carol. Much loved father and father-in-law of Aimee & Dave, and Sam & Becci. Treasured grandfather of Josh and Jack. Beloved son of Patricia and the late Ernest Deacon, and cherished brother of Philip, Caroline, and Jill.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Te Omanga Hospice for their care and support.
A service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at St James Anglican Church, Woburn Road, on Monday 22 September 2025 at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Family Centre, where he worked for 25 years.
