HEWETT, Anna (nee FORSTER)
Passed away peacefully on 23 May 2026, aged 84 years, after a long battle with cancer.
Dearly loved wife of Alfred Thomas (dec). Beloved mother of Damian and Gen. Loved mother-in-law of Michelle. Loved Nana Anna to Thomas and Rachel.
In keeping with Anna’s wishes a private cremation has taken place. Anna will be remembered by generations of students she taught throughout her teaching career.
A memorial service to celebrate Anna’s life will be held in Gee & Hickton, Corner King and Cairo streets, Upper Hutt on 28 May 2026 at 2:00pm.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the Nurse Maude home carers, the Hutt hospital staff at A&E, the CCU unit and the palliative care team for their wonderful care, compassion and comfort, they gave Anna in her final weeks.
