Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

Kamla Masalawalla, our brave and beautiful Mum, passed away peacefully in Lower Hutt on 24 April 2026, aged 80 years.

Dearly loved and devoted wife of 59 years to Babu Masalawalla.

Cherished daughter of the late Lalloo Morar and the late Maniben Morar.

Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Veena & Mayur, Rakesh & Llisa, and Priya & Chris.

Adored Ba to Amir, Deanna & Harmony, Maya & Bailey, Shay & Shriya and Naimah-Raine & Qiu. Treasured Moti-Ba to Nisha, Kajal & Wayne; and Shyam &  Tash. Loved sister of Santiben, and the late Savitaben, Mohanbhai, and her self-proclaimed twin brother Raman.

Loved and remembered always by her extended family and friends around the world.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at the service.

A celebration of Kamla’s life will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday 29 April 2026. Viewing from 10:00am, followed by the service at 10:30am.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the family home on Thursday 30 April and Saturday 2 May, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
