Daphne Mary McGrath

MCGRATH, Daphne Mary: 07 May 1930 – 21 October 2026 at the grand age of 96 years. Dearly loved and loving wife of the late Roy. They married in 1951. Dearly loved mum and mum-in-law of Shane & Marilyn, Gary (dec), Glen, Teresa & Steve, Diana & Bob (both dec), Barry & Carol. Very special nana to grand-daughter Melanie. Cherished by Maria. Cared for by Jenny for many years. Daph was a hands-on nana of 13, great-nana of 15 and great-great nana of 5. She was a loved and admired sister, sister-in-law and Auntie. She will be sadly missed by her cherished friend Margaret Healy. She loved her family, her friends, her garden and her life, and made the most of every opportunity. She will be sadly missed by all. RIP Daphne Mary. A service for Daphne will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Cornwall Street & Knights Road, Lower Hutt on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 10.30am.
