Son-in-law of Babu Masalawalla (dec) & Kamla Masalawalla (dec).
Our dearest Mayur – known for his calm, care, knowledge, and hard work – passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, 13 August 2026, in the intensive care unit at Hutt Hospital.
Mayur’s steady demeanor and calm nature were a source of comfort and strength to many. This, along with his wisdom, guidance, hard work, and humour will be greatly missed forever.
Mayur leaves behind many loved ones.
He is the devoted husband of 38 years to Veena Mehta and father to Amir, cherished father-in-law to Deanna and Pappa to Harmony.
Dearest brother of Jayendra & Usha and Jayesh (dec) & Raxa.
Much loved uncle to Krina, Amish, Hailey & Zoe, Darshak, Upasana & Devansh, and Kinjal, Ankit & Niam.
Revered brother-in-law of Rakesh & Llisa, and Priya & Chris and jijaji to Nisha and Kajal & Wayne and Shyam & Tash and uncle to Maya, Bailey, Shay, Shriya, Naimah-Raine and Qiu.
Loved by all his extended family in India, Canada, and the United States.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice or the Wellington Free Ambulance would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service.

Where: Cornwall Manor, corner of Knights Rd and Cornwall St, Lower Hutt.
Family and friends are welcome to pay respects to the family on Saturday, 22 August 2026, between 1.00pm and 4.00pm at the family home.
