WADDINGTON, Patrick Haynes – (Emeritus Professor, Victoria University of Wellington). – On August 10, 2025 at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village; aged 91 years.  Dearly loved partner of Kim.  Much loved father and father-in-law of Marian & Jean-Phillipe, Emma & Rachid, and Claire.  Loved Grandfather of Jonathan, Adrien, Maxim, and Leo.  Special thanks to the staff at Te Omanga Hospice and Shona McFarlane for their care.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Forest and Bird online at https://www.forestandbird.org.nz/support-us/appeals/donate-forest-bird.  A service for Patrick will be held in Kingswood, Cnr King & Cairo Street, Upper Hutt on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 2.30pm followed by private cremation.  Livestreaming details for those unable to attend are on the tribute page.  Messages may be sent to “the Waddington family”, C/- PO Box 30 127, Lower Hutt.
