George Lawrence Hickton passed away peacefully on 4 October 2025 at the age of 78, having lived a full and wonderful life. George was the beloved husband of Maree McGill. He was a wonderful father to Julia and Michael, and grandfather to Henry and Thomas. Loved brother to Maggie and the late Brenda. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Cancer Society in George’s memory. A service to celebrate George’s life will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Thursday 9 October 2025, at 2.00pm.
