Joy Margaret Oborn
On 12 September 2025 peacefully at Hutt Hospital, Lower Hutt, aged 96. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Leslie for 62 years. Cherished mother of Susan & Ahmed Ali, Lynne & Allan Philp, Alison Oborn, and David & Theresa. Beloved Nana of Leslie & Jinny; Richard, Chris, Andrew, Jayne & Daniel; Jilinda, Rebekah, Hazel, Letitia, Simeon & Rosemaire (deceased); and Harry, and her 15 great grandchildren. Loved daughter to the late Harry and Hazel Wright of Tirau.

A service to celebrate Joy’s life will be held at Waiwhetu Uniting Church Trafalgar Street, Lower Hutt on Monday 22 September 2025 at 2pm, followed by a private cremation.
