Ruby passed away peacefully at Hutt Hospital on 29 September 2025, aged 103.

Much loved wife of the late Thomas Wong Nam.  Cherished mother of Christine, Stephen, Beverley and Derek.  Loved Grandmother to Sarah, Christian and Lucinda and Great Grandma to Huxley, Ruby, Hugo and Liam.  Much loved by all her nieces and nephews.

Thanks to the staff at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village for their wonderful care during Ruby’s short stay.  Special thanks also to the doctors and nurses at Hutt Hospital for their kindness and compassion in Ruby’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at www.wfa.org.nz.

A service to celebrate Ruby’s life will be held at Cornwall Manor, Cnr of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Friday 24 October 2025 at 12.30pm, followed by a private burial.
